Anda Freimane from Mazzalve Primary school performed a natural science lesson about flying for the 5th grade students. Their task was to make paper airplanes at home. They were later tested in school to find the best model to fly. Students could use any information or help. The resulting planes were very different regarding the model and shape, and they were all made from different kinds of paper. Then the class tested the planes outdoors in the school grounds. They used scales and measuring tape to observe and test every model and find the best flying ones. Then they compared the constructions, sizes and weights. Finally, students discussed various features which enable flying.Strong points and opportunities:Practical activity interesting for kids
