UNEP/GRID-Warsaw Centre in collaboration with the MASS project team and the GLOBE Program Regional Coordination Office Europe and Eurasia are pleased to invite the science teaching community to participate in 2nd Education Conference ‘Motivate and Attract Students to Science’.This event will take place in Warsaw (Poland) on 25-27th November 2015.

Working language of the Conference is English.

GOALS

  • to bring together science teachers, educators, trainers and scientists from all around Europe,
  • to share ideas on improving science education at school and enhancing the motivation of students for STEM, by use of modern tools and methodologies,
  • to improve science teaching practice by providing a range of training and classroom materials, tools and methodologies.

AGENDA

The Agenda will mainly include workshops, instead of plenary sessions. It will make the Conference not a typical conference but practical training.

TRAININGS

  • 2-hours training sessions on three major challenges that stimulate the progress in teaching science attractively and effectively:
    • Science for Digital Learners
    • Early Inquiry
    • Low Achievers in Science
  • teaching materials i.e. tutorials, hands-on lessons and teacher training materials widely disseminated;
  • time to get to know the materials and to experiment with them under supervision of qualified training professionals;
  • chance to meet colleagues and other professionals from the field of science education and sustainability.
